Very exciting news – QuickBooks Online has just implemented Estimates vs. Actual reporting for Projects. Unfortunately, it falls a little short of my hopes and dreams:
- Estimated cost vs. actual cost, cost code level report on both cost and revenue side (like in Desktop/Enterprise)
- Only Available in QBO Advanced
- Is Item (Product/Service) based, costs must be entered to the product/service
- Does not include labor for payroll processed in QBO
- The Job Profitability report is still Chart of Accounts, rather than item based
